We are a rustic RV park with modern amenities in the heart of dynamic Lake Havasu City. We are also the city’s oldest RV Park and campground. Located on the island near the historic London Bridge, Crazy Horse Campground is also a desert oasis on the Colorado River. And for the fan of hotrods, classic cars, and motorcycles that lives the RV life, our campground is a destination in the months of spring.

On May 26, from 5:00 to 10:00 between Smoketree Avenue and Mulberry Drive, Cruisin’ On Main Street makes for a near perfect evening under desert skys. It is a vibrant night of vintage and classic cars, live music, dining and shopping.

Schedule for April 27th thru April 30th, one of the largest motorcycle events in the southwest is scheduled to take place in Laughlin, Nevada. Planned events include poker runs, a custom motorcycle show, vendors, concerts, and on Saturday, a crusie to the old mining town of Oatman on Route 66 in the picturesque Black Mountains.

The 33rd annual Route 66 Fun Run kicks off on April 29 in Seligman, Arizona, about 150 miles east of Lake Havasu City. There is a cruise through town on Route 66, live music at the Black Cat saloon, and special activities at the historic Snow Cap Drive In.

Saturday is when the event really gets rolling, literally. The cars begin lining up along Route 66 at dawn, and then at 10:00 hundreds of cars, trucks, and motorcycles head east along Route 66 toward Kingman.

The line between past and present is blurred as the iconic highway is transformed into a snapshot from the era of I Like Ike buttons, tail fins and Edsels. All along the highway special events from book signings, live music, and even Civil War reenactors will be taking place at classic roadside attractions such as Grand Canyon Caverns, Hackberry General Store, Keepers of the Wild, and Antares Point.

Andy Devine Avenue in Kingman, the Route 66 corridor, in the historic business district becomes a blocks long car show that last for the entire day. And, of course, there is live music at microbreweries, historic district walking tours, and endless opportunity for one of kind photos.

Sunday morning the party continues with a drive west along Route 66 through the scenic Black Mountains and Oatman to Golden Shores. This is an excllent time to visit the desert oasis that is Topock on the Colorado River.

Before COVID companies in Australia, New Zealand and other countries would include the Route 66 Fun Run in their spring Route 66 tour packages. This year there are already hundreds of pre registrations, and Dale Butel of Australia based Route 66 Tours will be in attendance.

And if that isn’t incentive enough to set up camp at Crazy Horse Campground and let the good times roll, there are an array of car shows scheduled in Lake Havasu City throughout the spring. And Chillin on Beale in Kingman kicks off a new season on the third Saturday of April.
